公共管理学院

        公共管理学院成立于2004年7月。由原教育科学学院教育管理系和原政法学院哲学管理学研究所合并组建而成。学院现设有教育经济与管理系、管理科学系、行政管理系、哲学研究所、华南师范大学系统科学与系统管理研究中心、365bet365体育在公务员培训与MPA教育中心、365bet365体育在现代教育管理研究与开发中心等教学、研究和教育培训单位。
        学院现有公共事业管理、管理科学、行政管理等3个本科专业；广东省高校人文社会科学重点研究基地1个；哲学拥有一级学科硕士、博士学位授予权和博士后流动站，教育经济与管理拥有二级学科博士学位授予权，公共管理、科学技术史拥有一级学科硕士学位授权；教育硕士（教育管理方向）、公共管理硕士（MPA）拥有专业硕士学位授权。哲学、公共管理两个一级学科均为广东省优势重点学科；科学技术哲学是学校“211工程”重点建设项目主要支撑学科。
        学院现有教职工59人，其中专任教师47人。专任教师中教授18人，副教授14人，博士生导师8人，硕士生导师30人，具有博士学位者43人，具有博士学位的教师占专任教师人数的91％，“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选、教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”入选者、广东省“珠江学者”1人，广东省教学名师1人，广东省“千百十人才培养工程”校级培养对象10人。
       学院现有各类学生共3800多人。其中，全日制本科生799人，博士生26人，全日制学术型硕士生243人，教育硕士生84人，公共管理硕士（MPA）生278人，成人学历教育本、专科学生2400多人。学院重视和加强人才培养工作，2009年分别制定了《本科毕业论文工作管理暂行规定》、《本科专业实习暂行规定》、《本科教学奖励暂行规定》等规章制度。自2009年起我院全日制本科实行公共管理大类招生，学生前三个学期按照公共管理类学习，第四学期进行专业分流，实行专业培养。
        学院制定《高层次科研成果奖励暂行条例》，鼓励教师积极开展科学研究。据统计，自学院成立以来，我院教师在A级和T级学术刊物发表论文164篇，出版学术著作、教材68部，获国家级科研项目24项、省部级项目37项、厅局级项目6项，获横向科研课题28项，获省部级科研成果一等奖1项、二等奖4项、三等奖2项，主持召开国际学术会议4场。
        学院党委坚持思想教育与时代精神相融合，发挥思想政治工作的优势，先后开展了共产党员先进性教育、深入学习实践科学发展观、创先争优、和谐公管等活动。实行党务、政务公开，成立了学院二级教代会，加强民主管理和监督。实施固本强基工程，加强党支部建设，党支部由建院初期的4个增加到现在的16个。规范党员发展程序，保证党员发展质量，共发展新党员311名。学院重视学生成长成才，努力促进学生全面发展，引导学生争创“三有一好”，争做“立志、修身、博学、报国”的现代大学生。结合专业学习，坚持在学生中举办案例分析大赛、管理论坛、研究生论坛、“砚湖学人”科研立项、公文写作大赛等活动，培养学生分析问题、解决问题能力，全面提高学生综合素质。

A Brief Introduction of School of Public Administration

School of Public Administration was established in July, 2004 which consists of three organizations: the Research Institute for Management Science and Philosophy in School of Politics and Law；Management Sciences Department in School of Politics and Law；Education and Management Department in School of Education Science. It is located in the scenic campus of South China Normal University in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center.

The college has three departments, one research institute, a provincial art science base and three centers. They are as follows: Department of Education Economics and Management, Department of Management Science, Department of Administration Management, Research Institute of Philosophy, Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences of Ordinary Higher Institutions in Guangdong Province, Systems Science and Systems Management Research Center of South China Normal University, MPA Education and Public Servant Training Center and Research and Development Centre of Modern Education Management.

The college has three undergraduate majors: Public Affairs Management (Education Management), Management Science and Administration Management; six master degree authorization programs: Science and Technology Philosophy, Foreign Philosophy, Chinese Philosophy, History of Science and Technology, Education Economics and Management and Administration Management; two professional master degree authorization programs: Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Education (Educational Management); two doctorate degree authorization programs : Science and Technology Philosophy which is a provincial key discipline and the primary support discipline of "211 Project" key construction projects, and Education Economics and Management which is the university-level key disciplines.

The college has 59 staff（45 teaching staff and other 14 staff）who contain 15 professors, 16 associate professors (including associate researchers), 16 lecturers, 9 administrative officers and educational management staff and 5 Political staff. Among the teaching staff, there are 35 teachers with doctorate degree, 3 teachers in-service Ph.D.; 24 Postgraduate Supervisors and 7 Ph.D. Supervisors; a national candidate of “Ten Millions of Talents Project in New Century ", 4 school-level cultivated members in "Thousand Hundred Ten Project "of Guangdong province universities.

The college has 270 full-time graduate students (20 doctors and 250 postgraduate students); 25 postgraduate students and doctors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; 745 full-time undergraduate students; 254 Master of Public Administration (MPA) students; 146 Master of Education students; 22 higher normal students from the class which offers master’s degree; 602 students from the postgraduate courses class; 1416 students from the correspondence evening university for junior colleges and undergraduate colleges.

Since the foundation of the college , the teachers have undertaken 9 national projects, 25 provincial and municipal level projects; have received 8 provincial and municipal level awards; have published more than 300 theses in the "Systems Research and Behavioral Science", "Philosophy Research", " Education Research"," Academic research "," Administration in China "and other core journals at home and abroad; and have issued more than 40 monographs and  textbooks published by the People's Publishing Press, the People's Education Press, Sun Yat-sen University Publishing Press. There are 14 scientific research projects (8 programs for the longitudinal study, 6 programs for the transverse study) in 2009. School of Public Administration is carrying out the international academic exchanges and cooperation, at the same time, taking advantage of its merits and providing consultation for the local governments’ enterprises’ and  institutions’ decision-making.
